Travelers 'Set Sail' at the Realities For Children's Gadabout

On Saturday, August 25th of 2007, the Members of Realities For Children presented Gadabout, a travel-themed vacation fundraiser featuring tasty international cuisine, complimentary libations, musical performances and the chance to win a 5-Night Western Caribbean Cruise for two with airfare included all while benefiting the Realities For Children Emergency Fund, which provides services and assistance to abused and neglected children in Larimer County.

Sponsored by Mackenize Place, TLC by Leisure Care and hosted above The Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant, Gadabout was held on August 25th from 4-7pm. Featuring international cuisine from Fort Collins’ finest restaurants, including: MacKenzie Place, The Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant, The Melting Pot, Stonehouse Grille, Rasta Pasta, Sackits Hot Shot Catering, Young’s Café, Enzio’s Italian Kitchen, Noodles & Company and complimentary libations from City Limits Lounge, The Rio Grande Mexican Grill, Trail Ridge Winery and Odell Brewing Company, Gadabout attendees listened to Jep Enck act as the Master of Ceremonies, were automatically entered to win a 5-Day Western Caribbean Cruise for two from TLC by Leisure Care with airfare included, and “gadabouts” also had the opportunity to bid on fantastic silent auction items and enjoy acoustical performances by Wendy Woo, Good Gravy and Piatro.

The Realities For Children Emergency Fund is a tax-deductible fund of the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado. It provides services and assistance for abused and neglected children in Larimer County when all other resources have been exhausted. The Emergency Fund is specifically designed as a safety net to make certain that no child is forgotten.
